Being in university is all fun and vibes until the bills start coming in From feeding to transport to handbook, to project to data,to offerings ,e.t.c (It's a lot😔😔😔) It can all come in a jiffy One minute you have #50000 Next minute you are calling your guy to lend you cash It can all be a mess inorder to help you avoid this I have come up with a guide that can help you spend wisely
1)Think before you spend: If it is not necessary don't put your hand in your pocket Try as much as possible to be prudent Don't just spend money in a reckless manner. Think about it before making the payment
2)Allocate money for every week :If you are the type that collect money allowance you can easily divide it into four and allocate a specific amount for each week.If you spend week one allocation finish before the week runs out You are ON YOUR OWN(Oyo lo wa) So try as much as possible to spend wisely
3) Hustle small small: You don't need to call mummy and daddy at every little discomfort you sef take charge a whole university student.Try to make money in your own little way If you don't have skills Charge phone,Do assignments, wash clothes Do anything you can do
4) Stop Borrowing: Borrowing at any chance you get will only get you into trouble Except you have a means of paying in a very fast way I will advise you to suffer your suffer and wait for the sun to shine(Your next allowance) Because borrowing will only increase your brokenness especially if there is heavy Interest.
5) Create fun for yourself: For every time you feel like going to that cinema or that park or that date.HOLD BACK .Try as much as possible to keep yourself entertained without necessarily dipping your hand into your pocket. You can try gisting with friends or even try hearing the latest hostel gist from your hostel mate (Trust me that's the sweetest) no movie can you give you that feeling. Final Words: Being broke is not a crime—wo, in fact, it’s a campus pandemic. But you don’t have to drown in it. With small discipline, smart spending, and a sprinkle of hustle, you can rise above sapa and still enjoy your student life.
At the end of the day, you’re broke, but you’re brilliant— and that’s your superpower.
